Depeche Mode

Depeche Mode is probably one of the darkest bands in the world of pop music. Songwriter Martin Gore has said that his favourite themes for lyrics are domination, evil, sin, religion and immorality. The band members nearly always wear black and were one of the leaders of the New Wave Movement .Since their beginnings in 1980, the group have also managed to record 12 albums, while maintaining a high level of success and inspiring many younger musicians from around the world.

Today in the Home English Blog we encourage you to sing along with one of their hits: Personal Jesus.

PERSONAL JESUS (DEPECHE MODE)
Your own personal Jesus
Someone to hear your prayers (rezos)
Someone who cares (que le importas)
Your own personal Jesus
Someone to hear your prayers (rezos)
Someone who's there

Feeling unknown (desconocido)
And you're all alone
Flesh and bone (carne y hueso)
By the telephone
Lift up the receiver
I'll make you a believer (creyente)

Take second best
Put me to the test (ponme a prueba)
Things on your chest
You need to confess
I will deliver
You know I'm a forgiver (que perdono)

Reach out and touch faith (fé)
Reach out and touch faith

Your own personal Jesus...
Feeling unknown (desconocido)
And you're all alone
Flesh and bone (carne y hueso)
By the telephone
Lift up the receiver
I'll make you a believer (creyente)

I will deliver
You know I'm a forgiver (que perdono)

Reach out and touch faith(fé)
Your own personal Jesus
Reach out and touch faith
